Learn Hands-On Social Marketing with Nedra Kline Weinreich
"A soup to nuts crash course in social marketing and its application"
- Kate Hull, VP of Communications, RAINN
How do you help the people in your community adopt behaviors that will make them healthier and better off? How can you create positive social change?
At this Social Marketing University one-day "crash course," we will focus on the basics of how to influence health and social behaviors. With the social marketing approach, you will learn how to persuade individuals to take action for change by applying the same effective marketing tools that companies like Nike and Apple use.
This intensive training will introduce you to the key concepts of social marketing under the guiding hand of Nedra Weinreich, author of Hands-On Social Marketing: A Step-by-Step Guide. If you will be attending the CDC's National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing and Media (NCHCMM), this workshop will provide you with a foundation of social marketing knowledge and skills to help you get the most out of the sessions. But you do not need to be registered for NCHCMM to attend this training!
For those who are interested in learning more about social media, Nedra will also be presenting a NCHCMM pre-conference half-day workshop on Hands-On Social Marketing Strategy on the morning of August 17th (register via the NCHCMM site).
